In a major relief for over 1.27 crore women in Madhya Pradesh, the government is set to disburse the 26th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana this month. And there’s more good news: instead of the regular ₹1,250, beneficiaries will receive ₹1,500 this time — a special Raksha Bandhan bonus of ₹250.

This financial boost is part of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s latest announcement, in which he declared a festive one-time incentive for women enrolled in the scheme. The extra ₹250 will be deposited along with the regular July payment in recognition of the upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival, which falls on August 9, 2025.
When Will the 26th Installment Be Released?
As per government sources, the 26th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana is expected to be released between July 10 and July 15, 2025. The transfer will be made directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries.
This move is aligned with the state government’s ongoing initiative to empower women economically and ensure that festive occasions are celebrated with dignity, even in low-income households.
Why ₹1,500 This Month Instead of ₹1,250?
Currently, each beneficiary under the Ladli Behna Scheme receives ₹1,250 per month. However, for the month of July, the government will deposit an additional ₹250 as a festive gift or ‘Shagun’ for Raksha Bandhan.
This isn’t the first time such a bonus has been offered. Similar incentives of ₹250 were distributed in August 2023 and August 2024, setting a precedent for festive bonuses under the scheme.
Ladli Behna Yojana Monthly Payment to Increase Permanently from Diwali 2025
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also made another significant announcement recently in Indore. Starting from Diwali 2025, the monthly financial support under the Ladli Behna Yojana will be raised permanently from ₹1,250 to ₹1,500.
This enhancement is part of a phased plan to gradually increase the monthly assistance to as much as ₹3,000 per beneficiary. The government aims to offer greater financial independence to women in Madhya Pradesh and help them support their families with dignity.
